Bring-your-own ladder
Patipat Janthong
I surveyed the area around Wat Phra Kaeo to find the best spot to take this photo. I stood on a small ladder, which I had brought with me, so I could take pictures of the passing Royal Guard procession as they made their way to Sanam Luang. The ladder helped me avoid blocking the view of other photographers and spectators on the road. — Patipat Janthong
Ethnic costumes in Bangkok
Apichart Jinakul
I took this shot outside Wat Amarin Thararam Woraviharn. I had spotted about 200 students from Phayao dressed in their ethnic costumes. They were waiting to catch a bus home after returning from Siriraj Hospital, where they had gone to leave get-well messages for His Majesty the King. — Apichart Jinakul
From a cliff
Tawatchai Kemgumnerd
This was the first time in eight months that visitors were allowed into Kui Buri National Park in Prachuap Khiri Khan after about 30 gaur died of unknown causes. I studied the terrain of the forest where I planned to take my shots. I also chose a camera with a telescopic lens so I could zoom in from my perch on a cliff. — Tawatchai Kemgumnerd
