High-speed jetski ride through narrow canyon in US is like Star Wars podracing but netizens worry about small kayaks coming in opposite direction.

A breathtaking high-speed jet ski tour through the narrow canyons of Lake Powell in the US was selected as Video of the Day on Go Pro's Facebook page here.

The video was shot with a GoPro (HERO3+) head mount camera riding a Honda (AquaTrax F-12X) jetski.

The high-speed jetski ride looks a lot like podracing in the movie Star Wars that was later made into a popular computer game.

Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River in the US straddling the border between the states of Utah and Arizona and is also a major vacation destination in the US.

The jetski ride goes through Mountain Sheep Canyon that is one of many narrow canyons on Lake Powell that many people kayak slowly through for fun.

Netizens at one popular travel website were very enthusiastic, commenting: "scramble, swim, and play in a swirling sandstone maze on this high-octane 6.4-miler for canyoneering fanatics," "find tranquility and seclusion on this 7.2-mile paddle-hike trip to a lonesome campsite," "experience a hands-on journey to the center of the earth on this 13.6-mile trek into a supreme slot canyon" and "squeeze through 10.4 miles of sheer-walled sandstone passages." Netizen reactions to the thrilling video, however, showed mixed feelings about the jetski ride ranging from the positive, such as "The water is so perfect that it looks more like he's flying," to reasonable concerns such as "Is this one-way?" and "Very cool, hope nobody else is gopro'ing the other direction!," to the negative such as "Good thing there was not some poor kayak in there to run over. Jet skiers are the aquatic version of skateboarders, no concern for others safety, its all about them" or "that is some stupid *** ****, there are kayakers all over that place especially in the canyons."
