A young woman who tried to stop a car, believed to be driven by her boyfriend, after a public quarrel, was dragged several metres across an intersection in Bangkok. The incident was caught on camera and shared online Monday.

In the 37-second video clip uploaded by a Facebook user who went by the name Hathaitip Khumsakunwat‎, the woman and the driver were seen having an argument on busy Ramkhamhaeng Road. (article continues after video)

The woman tried to stop the black sedan as it slowly moved forward to the middle of the intersection.

She fell but quickly stood up, still trying to stop the moving car by putting her torso on top of its bonnet. She was slowly pushed forward by the moving car.

The woman then walked towards the driver's side of the car, but the driver suddenly drove off.

The woman was seen clinging to the accelerating vehicle and was dragged to the other side of the road. The car finally stopped.

A motorcyclist on the other side of the intersection rushed to check if she was alright.

Two people who were filming the incident were inside another car. One of them was heard cursing and screaming after the car took off dragging the young woman along the road. The other person was heard reading out the licence plate of the black sedan, which is Sor Sor 4758.

Most netizens criticised the driver as being "cruel" and praised the motorcycle driver for promptly helping the woman.
