Baby deer won't let the man stop rubbing his tummy
In the US state of Kentucky a construction worker by the name of Dean and his coworkers discovered the animal alone and tangled in thorns.
The baby deer was upset so they decided to rub the deer's belly to calm him down. The little deer grew so fond of being rubbed on his tummy that he cried every time they stopped.
The baby deer then followed the workers around their work site for about an hour until the workers noticed the baby deer's mother watching them on the side of the hill. They then carried the baby deer up the hill and when the deer saw his mother, they let him go and he ran to her. The mother and child then walked off into the forest together.
Most responses to video were positive, but some netizens criticised the man for handling the baby deer. The mother deer might be suspicious of the human smell and might abandon her baby. Others defended the man, saying the baby deer would have died without the man's help.
Experts, however, advise people to stay away from wild baby animals but if handling them is necessary, then take a towel and rub it in the grass. Then wipe the animal with the towel to remove the human smell. Then return the animal to the place where you found them.
