Learning Thai: Janie's Instagram

The sudden end to the marriage between Janie Tienphosuwan and millionaire Chonsawat "Ae" Asavahame, chairman of the Samut Prakan Provincial Administration Organisation was heavily covered in the Thai language media. The couple said very little to the media and about the only thing we heard from Janie can in the form of a widely-shared Instragram. Here is what she said in both Thai and English

First of all, I’d like to thank you for every (expression of) love, every concern that you all have shown in recent days (the period of time that has just past). I haven’t come out to say anything because I had hoped to be able to solve the problem.  But finally, I have decided: that is starting life anew (starting a new life).  I must apologise to the many people that I might have disappointed, those who love and worry about me. I apologise to friends and all those who were troubled and affected by my situation. I’d like to apologise to the media for not being ready and strong enough for a talk. Thank you to everyone who has given me moral support and good wishes. This really has great value for me. Thank you from my heart.
