Green curry or Gaeng Kiew Wan is a favourite in Japan.

THAI is also looking to market the products in Shanghai, China.

If the products are popular, the sales will be expanded to other Chinese cities.

Ms Varangkana said China represents a huge market for the airline's products, though trade restrictions are in place.

RECOVERING FROM RECENT LOSSES WITH NEW BUSINESSES

The national flag carrier posted a second - quarter net loss of 2.91 billion baht after the company recorded a net profit of 5.99 billion baht in the first quarter of this year.

EXPANSION OF CATERING SERVICES

Thai Airways already has a big presence in the catering industry.

The airline is procuring vehicles to be turned into food trucks to raise the number of the company's food and beverage points of sale (POS).

Terms of reference are being drafted for the procurement.

If the business is successful, more vehicles will be purchased.

Ms Varangkana said THAI expects its catering unit will increase revenues from 3% to 5% compared to last year's seven-billion-baht revenue.
