Pronouncing election-related words
Here are some of the key election-words we are seeing and hearing almost every day. Try to learn how to pronounce them. As you listen and repeat, pay special attention to the stress in each word. For example, the word campaign is pronounced cam PAIGN, not CAM paign.
I am an American and I use a standard US midwestern accent. You won't find much difference in my pronunciation of the words below and that of a British speaker of English, however. The key to speaking clearly is getting the stress correct.

election – the process of choosing a person or a group of person for a position, especially by voting การเลือกตั้ง
candidate – a person who is trying to be elected ผู้สมัครรับเลือกตั้ง
constituency – a district that elects its own representative to parliament เขตเลือกตั้ง
party-list – a system that gives each party in an election a number of seats in relation to the number of votes its candidates receive ระบบสัดส่วน, ระบบปาร์ตี้ลิสต์
ballot – the piece of paper on which someone marks who they are voting for บัตรเลือกตั้ง
campaign – to take part in a planned series of activities (a campaign) designed to persuade voters to vote for a particular candidate or political party รณรงค์หาเสียง
canvasser – person whose job is to try and get support for a candidate or political party in a particular area หัวคะแนน

policy – a set of plans or action agreed on by a government, political party, business, or other group นโยบาย

reconciliation – a new and friendly relationship with someone who you argued with or fought with การทำให้ปรองดองกันอีก, การสมานฉันท์
