We talk to the chief executive officer (CEO) of Chaiseri - a Thai manufacturer of armoured vehicles.
We ask him about the company's competitive edge and business dealings with the Thai armed forces and foreign customer:

Here at Chaiseri company, I've been dealing with the Thai army since 1968. I've been in this business for 48 years now.
STARTED REPAIRING MILITARY TRUCKS
I began by repairing military trucks.
I've repaired more than 1,000 of these vehicles.
I've been doing repairs and maintenance according to US army standards.
MORE ARMOUR ON HUMVEES
The Thai army later wanted us to put more armour on the Humvees.
However, this reduced their performance during the test run.
So we have designed a totally new vehicle.
It's an armoured personnel carrier (APC).
A monocoque, a V- shaped armoured plate attached to the bottom of the vehicle, so that if a bomb explodes underneath, the force of the explosion is directed outward.
BETTER THAN MANY BUILT IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES
We can sincerely say we feel the new vehicle we've designed is better than many built in foreign countries at the moment.
The distinctive feature of our vehicle is that it is what is called "monocoque".
Unlike vehicles with a flat bottom hull on the global market, we attach a V- shaped armoured plate to the bottom of the vehicle.
The angle on the plate is very steep.
If a bomb explodes underneath, the force of the explosion is directed outward.
It provides utmost safety for the people inside the vehicle.
Tyres (or tires) that work even when flat (having now air in them).
TIRES WORK EVEN WHEN FLAT
Another distinctive feature is our vehicle can travel 150 kilometres on flat tyres.
This is better than other APCs out there.
It is in line with the A20A European Standard.
TIRES MADE FROM THAI RUBBER
The run-flat tyres are partially made from thai para rubber.
This is one of our competitive edges.
PARA RUBBER TIRES TOUGH & STURDY
Tyres made from para rubber are very sturdy.
Our production costs are also lower than our competitors'.
We tested the tyres by shooting them seven times, two shots in the front and five in the sidewall.
Even though the tyre is flat, the APC can still run like a vehicle with soft tyres.
USE IN THAILAND TO GENERATE FOREIGN CONFIDENCE
I would like state agencies to support us.
That's the first step.
Before foreign countries buy our product they need to know whether people in this country use it.
It is important to generate foreign customers' confidence.
If our people don't use the vehicle it will be difficult to negotiate with customers abroad.
Now, I'm trying to get our own army's confidence.
