This unique style of commuting to work probably means Khun Asawachat has a very low carbon footprint .

I'm a teacher and I ride a horse to school.

People generally call me Kru Ma (horse teacher).

I don't travel in vehicles like others.

I don't go on motorbikes.

Nor do I ride in cars.

If you ask me whether I have them, I'd say I do.

But I think that this is better.

I can help reduce global warming and I don't have to pay for fuel.

At least, the horse helps trim the grass at school.

Its manure can also be used as fertiliser.

This mare is named Sang Jan (Moonlight).

She's about 10 years old.

There're not many daily expenses.

In the afternoon, the horse eats the grass at school.

There's an abundance of grass here.

Actually, I don't ride the horse only to school.

I ride it to local markets and temples also.

I see it as a motorcycle with life.

However, it's more difficult to control.

For motorbikes, you just start the engine and go.

But horses, you have to understand them.

Our minds have to go together and that's the key.
