Thailand 2, China 0
Thailand dominated 10-man China, winning 2-0 in Asian Games football on two superb goals by Adisak Kraisorn.
The Thai team now advances to the quarterfinals.
Coach Kiatisak Senamuang's men will meet Jordan, who beat Kyrgyzstan 2-0 after extra time yesterday, for a semifinal spot on Sunday.
It was the fourth consecutive clean sheet for the Thai side who defeated the Maldives 2 -0, Timor Leste 3-0 and Indonesia 6-0 in the opening round.
After a scoreless first half it took the Thai team only two minutes to score the first goal of the match and what a splendid goal it was, featuring a backheel and an Adisak volley that gave the Chinese goalie no chance.

The second goal came in the 76 minute when an opportunistic Adisak rushed through the Chinese defence to put a ball the Chinese goalkeeper had failed to control into the net.
China was reduced to 10 men in the 33rd minute when Chinese defender Yang Ting was shown a straight red card for bringing down Krirkrit Thaweekarn at the edge of the penalty area.
A happy Thai coach Kiatisak Senamuang after the match.
"In the first half, China defended well and our attack was not so good," Kiatisak said. "We are looking forward to the Jordan match."
The team received a 500,000 baht bonus for yesterday's win plus another 200,000 baht for each goal against China from the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).
Thailand have reached the semifinals three times but never won a football medal at the Asian Games.
They will get bonuses in the region of 100 million baht from the government, FAT and private companies if they manage to win gold in Incheon.
