Mahidol council has “Rajata” stop straddling 2 chairs
The Mahidol University Council has resolved to have “Rajata” choose between the position of rector or health minister, giving him until October 8 to decide. ‘Sugree’ covers his head with a tin can, urging Rajata's resignation) a second time.
The university council’s meeting on September 17, 2014 agreed on a resolution to ask Dr. Rajata Rajatanavin, Rector of Mahidol University, who has (also) taken the post of Public Health Minister, to choose only one of the positions.
After the 2-hour long meeting, University Council chairman Dr Vicharn Panich said the fact that the rector was appointed a minister is an honour for the university. Apart from this (appointment), two other (university) council members have been appointed ministers as well. They are Mr Yongyuth Yuthawongse as Deputy Minister of Public Health and Mr Krisanapong Kiratikorn as Deputy Minister of Education. Both of them have resigned as members of the council.
