Friday morning update
There is much interest on what kind of ticket Ms Yingluck was travelling on. Here is what the Bangkok Post had to say in this morning's newspaper edition:
Checks with airline staff found Ms Yingluck had not purchased any return ticket. She was travelling on a one-way ticket to Europe.
A source said it was possible Ms Yingluck and her followers may purchase return tickets later or they might have already bought one-way and return tickets from different airlines.
Hugs in Paris, speculation in Thailand
Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra was reunited with her brother Thaksin on her arrival in Paris after flying out of Thailand early on Thursday.
Mr Thaksin’s son Panthongtae Shinawatra on Thursday afternoon posted an image on Instagram showing his father tightly hugging a woman.
He said that someone sent him the photo while he was having his hair cut.
His photo did not show the woman's face, but a second photo posted to twitter, clearly showed it was indeed Mr Thaksin's younger sister.
And now we have this 11-second video:
Ms Yingluck and her son left Bangkok for Paris on flight TG930, which departed at 12.05 am Thursday.
Speaking to reporters at the airport late on Wednesday before departing, Ms Yingluck asked for privacy.
"Let me take a leisure trip with my son. Please let's talk when I return in August," she said. Ms Yingluck is scheduled to return to Thailand on Aug 10. She said earlier she planned to visit France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium and the USA.

The trip has provoked intense interest here in Thailand and there has been much speculation that she would not be returning to fight her court cases.
This speculation appeared to be strengthened today when several news agencies reported she and her son were travelling on one-way tickets. This has not been confirmed, however.
There was also interest in the number of bags she was taking with her, with estimates as high as 15.
