Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order director Chalerm Yubamrung was apparently unimpressed with PDRC leader Suthep Thaugsuban show of force at Government House this morning. He says police actions to reclaim 5 rally sites, including Government House, will get back in action tomorrow morning at 8am. The operation will be open to the media and it will be televised on Channels 9 and 11.
Mr Suthep promised to make things difficult by sending 2000 protesters and guards back to Government House to ensure that it will not be open to business for this government.

Protesters, led by Chumporn Julasai, are at the Education Ministry, asking civil servants there to go home. The ministry, of course, is across the street from Gate 5 of Government House.
Meanwhile, in his first reaction to this morning's blockade of Government House, CMPO director Chalerm Yubamrung said police would not try to arrest Mr Suthep at the rally site, but would take photos and collect other evidence for future court action.

Protesters have just cemented shut gates 1 and gates 2 outside Government House, the area next to the Network of Students and People for Reform of Thailand (NSPRT) rally stage. They say they have no plans to go inside the compound.

The PDRC group has now reached the Government House area and Thai PBS showed protesters occupying the entire area previously reclaimed by police, from the Makhawan Rangsan bridge to the Misakawan intersection.
Mr Suthep quickly went to the Network of Students and People for Reform of Thailand (NSPRT) rally stage to meet with leaders there. He has just gone on the rally stage and vowed that PM Yingluck will never set foot in Government House again. He say it is now clear that the government cannot govern.

Protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban on Sunday declared he would mobilise supporters to block off Government House Monday in a move to challenge the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order which has pledged to end the rally site there by Wednesday to allow caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to return to her office.
“I will lead a march of our brothers and the people to surround Government House and not let Yingluck in to work,” the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) secretary-general announced at the Pathumwan rally site.
Mr Suthep said demonstrators would leave Pathumwan intersection at 7.30am and arrive at Government House before 8.30am.
The protesters from the PDRC main rally stage are expected to join forces with the Network of Students and People for Reform of Thailand (NSPRT) which controls the Chamaimaruchet Bridge protest base on Phitsanulok Road, near Ms Yingluck’s office.

NSPRT coordinator Uthai Yodmanee insisted that his group would not allow Ms Yingluck to return to work at Government House, saying the caretaker government had lost its authority to govern since it rejected the Constitution Court ruling against a proposed constitutional charter amendment that would change the composition of the Senate into a fully-elected chamber.
CMPO director Chalerm Yubamrung’s attempt to reclaim the area around Government House would lead to a final showdown between the protesters and police, Mr Uthai said.
NSPRT adviser Nitithorn Lamlua said police deployed to take back the NSPRT protest site should come as phu pitak santiras (protectors of public peace) by wearing uniforms with their ranks and names and not carry firearms. He expected more protesters would come to the Chamaimaruchet Bridge stage after Mr Chalerm vowed to reclaim the site and other areas used as PDRC rally stages.
