(Learn Thai) Pheu Thai admits defeat

There were no complaints from Pheu Thai leaders after their election loss in Don Mueang district, just the wish they had had more time to campaign.

เพื่อไทยย้ำพ่ายดอนเมืองไม่กระทบสนามใหญ่

เพื่อไทยแถลงยอมรับความพ่ายแพ้ เชื่อเวลาหาเสียงน้อย ย้ำไม่กระทบการเลือกตั้งใหญ่ ปัดประเมินตัวผู้สมัครพลาด

น.อ.อนุดิษฐ์ นาครทรรพ รมว.เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร (ไอซีที) ในฐานะผู้อำนวยการศูนย์เลือกตั้งซ่อมพรรคเพื่อไทย (พท.) แถลงว่า พรรคเพื่อไทยพร้อมน้อมรับผลการตัดสินใจของประชาชนชาวเขตดอนเมือง และผลคะแนนของผู้สมัครพรรคประชาธิปัตย์และผู้สมัครพรรคเพื่อไทยที่ออกมาทิ้งห่างประมาณ 2,000คะแนน ก็คิดเป็น 1-2%เท่านั้น

Pheu Thai reiterates Don Mueang defeat won’t affect bigger (political) arena

Pheu Thai announced that it admits defeat, believing (this was because of) the short time for campaigning. (It) reaffirmed (the loss) would have no effect on the general election and rejected  (suggestions) that it had misestimated its candidate.

Gp Capt Anudith Nakornthap, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister, in his position as the head of Pheu Thai’s by-election centre, said that the Pheu Thai Party was ready to accept the results of the Don Mueang voters' decision. (He) also said that the vote tally for the Democrat and Pheu Thai candidates differed by around 2,000 votes, which was merely 1-2 %.
